Lowering CPU Temps

A lot of computer problems are directly related to overheating of the hardware inside the CPU and therefore it is very essential for us to keep the temperature inside the computer pleasant or the hardware might get damaged due to overheating. In urban areas where people work in smaller offices and apartments, people normally keep their computers in closed areas where computers do not receive cool air and chances are that the hardware inside the computer gets overheated very quickly. However, there are various ways in which we can keep the CPU temperature under check so that our computers are working fine and efficiently.

Free Ways

First, if you do not want to spend extra money, a good way to keep the CPU temperatures down is to keep the inside of your computer clean. On average, very few people feel that they have time to clean up their computer and therefore they never really care about the dirt that accumulates inside the system that finally leads to overheating. Another better way to keep the temperatures low inside your CPU is to keep your computer in a cooler place. If you have air conditioner in your apartment or in your office, than you keep your computer in the same place where your computer can receive direct air from air conditioners. Also, if you have a cooler room in your house/apartment/office, this would be a good place for your computer.

Non-Free Ways

However, if you are ready to spend extra money, than there are various other ways that you keep the CPU temperatures under check. The simplest way is to install more computer fans inside your computer case. Computer fans are available in any computer shop and they do not burn a hole in your pocket. You can install extra computer fans inside your computer so that they can blow out all the warm air outside and keep your computer hardware cool. If you already have adequate computer fans than you can go for a better computer case. Modern computer cases have more ventilation holes that allow warm air to blow outside keeping the CPU temperature low. Additionally, you can also upgrade your heat sink. A heat sink sits directly on top of your processor and it is responsible for getting the heat off of the CPU and into the case. Water blocks are also a good way of keeping the temperature of your CPU cool because water blocks act like a water cooling devices that keep the inside of your computer cool and drive out the heat that can damage computer hardware. However, water-cooling devices are expensive and in most cases are overkill.
